Save Huntington Public Access TV
Huntington Public Access Television, Comcast Channel 20, may soon be forced to end it's daily program cablecast.
After thousands of dollars and countless hours of personal expenditures, the private source that negotiated, financed, and managed this non-commercial channel since 2005, will be without resources to continue it’s support.
Huntington City Council and the Mayor’s office has refused to engage discussion regarding the evolution or inclusion of Public Access Television in the cable franchise contract renewal.  Without proper or informed guidance, this can, once again, result in another 15 year contract that is designed to benefiting only the financial interests of the cable company.
With the absence of Huntington Public Access TV, the following will be denied their only unrestricted tool to communicate for free via the medium of television:
Public Schools
Non-Profit Organizations
Community Groups
Charities
Religious Institutions
Veterans Groups
Second Language Communities
Hospitals
Political Activists
Libraries
Community Theaters
The Disabled
Labor Unions
Political Organizations
Artists
Writers
Filmmakers
